Accreditation Procedures for Data Protection Authorities

Data protection authorities that wish to participate in the “Commissioners Only” sessions of the Conference as accredited members must first apply for and obtain accreditation.  

In this section you will find the application form data protection authorities must fill out and send to the Conference Credentials Committee in order to apply for accreditation.

Also in this section you will find the rules and accreditation principles of the Credentials Committee, as well as a list of the currently accredited members of the Conference. Data protection authorities on this list need not apply again for accreditation.

We ask that all applications for accreditation be sent by email to Mr. François Cadieux, Senior Research Officer at the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and Manager of the Conference Credentials Committee Secretariat.  His email address is fcadieux@privcom.gc.ca.  Alternatively, you may also send in your application to Mr. Cadieux by regular mail at the following address:

We ask that your application be sent at the earliest opportunity, but no later than June 25, 2007

Countries not represented by an accredited data protection authority nevertheless may be admitted to closed sessions as observers.  The process of applying for observer status is described in the resolution concerning country observers below.
